My tradition of making a signature "Back to School" Dress started in the Fall of 2010 when my Abigail set off for Kindergarten. Each year, I come out with an updated design using the tradition staple appliques of a school bus, tree and apple. All appliques are hand drawn, hand cut and then sewn on to the dress/tunic. Even the bus wheels have buttons for an added detail! Appliques are made using leftover scrap fabrics from either past projects or recycled from outgrown clothing. This year's version features the peasant style top with flutter sleeves in white with the appliques in the aqua/green/blues color palette. It can be dress length or tunic length depending on your little girls preference.
